Parenting Classes
The Family Support Center of the Uintah Basin is providing ongoing parenting classes in the Active Parenting Program. The classes take place every Tuesday (ages 1-4), Wednesday (ages 5-12), and every Thursday (teens). The classes last for four weeks and are being taught every month, except for April, July, and December. Please call the center at 435-722-2401 for the times, as these will change every month. There is no charge for the classes.
The Teen Parenting Program, "Healthy Steps for Teen Parents", will begin on January 27, 2009, 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Uintah Basin Medical Center in Roosevelt. This program is for expectant teenagers and their partners, parents, or supportive friends. The class runs for 5 weeks and is being taught by personnel from the Family Support Center, Uintah Basin Medical Center, and Department of Workforce Services. There is no charge for the classes.

A nursery is provided for parents who need child care for their young children. These classes are provided at no cost to the parents or caregivers. Be sure to check with us next month for the next series of classes if you can’t make it this month!
